Job Description

A day in the life Start your morning in Cambridge, MA, reviewing your service queue and mapping out the most efficient route.
Your first stop:
a refrigerator running warm. You greet the homeowner, listen closely, diagnose the issue, and get it cooling again. Later, you move on to a washer with a mysterious leak, an oven with temperature drift, and a dishwasher that won't drain. Throughout the day, you communicate clearly, set expectations, and leave every customer feeling confident and cared for. What you'll do Diagnose and repair major residential appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers. Explain findings and present repair options in plain language to deliver an excellent customer experience. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to keep appliances running at peak performance. Document service calls, work performed, and parts used with precise, timely records. Keep current with emerging appliance technologies, platforms, and repair techniques. Collaborate with teammates to streamline processes and elevate customer satisfaction. What you'll bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in appliance repair is a plus. Hands-on experience as a home appliance technician or in a closely related repair role. Expert troubleshooting skills and a methodical, problem-solving mindset. Strong communication and people skills—you're as comfortable with customers as you are with tools. Self-direction and solid time management in a field environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Flexibility to work variable hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed. EPA Type 1 preferred Where you'll work This role serves customers in and around Cambridge, MA, visiting homes throughout the local area.
