HomeHalo Appliance Repair is hiring mechanically capable technicians with experience repairing, troubleshooting, or installing residential appliances. You do not need to be an expert on every appliance type, but you must be comfortable learning advanced diagnostics. This Is Different From Property Maintenance In appliance repair, you are the specialist. You will diagnose the actual cause of failures, test electrical components, read wiring diagrams, disassemble appliances, present repair estimates, and complete detailed documentation. We provide training and support, but you must be mechanically skilled, coachable, and comfortable working independently. Sales Skills Are Required This is a customer-facing position.
You must be able to:
Build trust quickly Explain problems clearly Present repair estimates confidently Ask customers to approve recommended repairs Handle objections professionally Deliver five-star service You do not need to be pushy, but you must be comfortable selling honest, necessary repairs. Expect Driving Technicians complete approximately 6-8 service calls on busy days throughout Western and Central Michigan. Some days involve a lot of driving. You must be comfortable managing a daily route, arriving on time, and working independently without constant supervision. What You'll Repair Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, and cooktops. Experience with two or three appliance categories is acceptable. What You Need Two or more years of property maintenance, appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, installation, or similar mechanical experience Strong troubleshooting ability Great customer-service and sales skills Reliable personal vehicle for your first 90 days Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Ability to work independently Professional appearance and communication EPA certification is a plus, but not required. Pay and Benefits $27-$35/hour to start, based on experience $15 bonus for each qualifying five-star review Performance-based raises Health, dental, and vision insurance available No working late nights.
