Job Summary Hugo's TV & Appliance Repair is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and technically minded Appliance Service Technician to support residential appliance and electronic equipment repair operations. This role involves inspecting equipment, troubleshooting service issues, performing repairs and maintenance, preparing tools and parts, testing equipment, and providing professional customer service during service visits. Responsibilities Inspect household appliances and related equipment to identify service and repair needs. Diagnose basic mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using appropriate tools and procedures. Perform or assist with appliance repairs, maintenance, and service calls. Troubleshoot televisions and household appliances as assigned. Prepare tools, replacement parts, equipment, and materials for scheduled jobs. Safely use hand tools, testing equipment, and service equipment. Remove, replace, and install appliance components and parts when required. Follow repair procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and workplace safety standards. Test repaired equipment to help verify proper operation and service quality. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Handle tools, equipment, replacement parts, and customer property carefully. Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and completed service work. Communicate repair findings, parts requirements, and service concerns to supervisors or customers. Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers during service visits. Identify additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate them appropriately. Help maintain organized inventory of tools, replacement parts, and service supplies. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or unexpected repair conditions promptly. Follow company procedures, technical instructions, and customer service standards. Perform other appliance repair and technical service duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous appliance repair, electronics repair, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or technical experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with basic hand tools and testing equipment is helpful. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn appliance and electronics repair procedures. Ability to read and follow technical instructions and service guidelines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work. Good communication and customer service skills.
