Day to day:

Diagnose and repair major household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges) across all major brands Run scheduled service calls in customers' homes Communicate clearly and honestly with customers about repairs Keep accurate job records You'd be a great fit if you: Have appliance repair experience, or a background in HVAC, electrical, or handyman/maintenance work and are eager to learn Must be able to lift heavy objects (appliances can weigh 100+ lbs) Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and your own tools Carry yourself professionally in someone else's home Work well without a lot of hand-holding Speak English and Spanish (a strong plus, not required) Live in or near Las Cruces, NM or El Paso, TX What's in it for you: Paid, hands-on training. Apply now with your experience and availability. Responsibilities Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures to identify root causes efficiently. Repair and replace faulty components on appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers using hand tools and power tools. Install new appliances in customers' homes, ensuring proper setup according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Conduct routine maintenance on appliances and related systems, including refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical connections. Use ladder equipment safely to access hard-to-reach areas during repairs or installations. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in appliance repair or field service with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical work. Familiarity with schematics, ladder diagrams, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, plumbing basics, and electrical experience is highly desirable. Valid driver's license and insurance required. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical testers, and other maintenance equipment. Experience with appliance installation, assembly, equipment repair, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Physical ability to lift heavy appliances safely and work in various environments; comfortable working at heights using ladders when necessary.
