Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Orthodontic Wire Bender / Appliance Technician to join our dynamic dental laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting precise orthodontic wires and appliances that meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient care by supporting orthodontists in delivering effective treatment solutions. Responsibilities Bend, shape, and adjust orthodontic wires and appliances according to precise specifications using hand tools, pliers, and CAD/CAM software Design and modify appliances digitally using in-house software and digital scan data Read and interpret prescriptions, models, and digital scans to fabricate accurate, patient-specific devices Ensure all appliances meet strict quality control standards, including proper fit, function, symmetry, and aesthetics Collaborate with orthodontists and lab team members to interpret prescriptions, refine designs, and troubleshoot complex cases What We're Looking For Ideal candidates will possess: Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor control Meticulous attention to detail — including the ability to recognize subtle differences in color, shape, and proportion A steady hand and the patience to work on intricate, small-scale work for extended periods Comfort learning digital design tools (prior CAD or digital dental software experience is a plus, but not required) A strong work ethic and willingness to grow into a highly specialized craft No prior wire bending experience is required. This is a skill built through practice, patience, and mentorship — we provide fully paid, hands-on training to get you there.
