About the Company Advantech Wireless is a global leader in wireless broadband communications, specializing in designing, manufacturing, and deploying networking solutions for broadband connectivity, broadcast solutions, and backhaul requirements. Our expertise lies in both satellite and terrestrial communications. Summary of the role The RF/Microwave Technician's main function is to tune, tests and troubleshoots RF circuits to meet specifications provided by the engineering team. Tasks of the role Ensure the calibration of all test equipment. Operate a range of equipment, including network analyzer, scalar network analyzer, swept generator, power meter, digital meter, and spectrum analyzer. Read and analyze circuit schematics. Perform set up, calibration, measurement, and testing of the RF systems using test datasheets. Identify and address failures and set up problems encountered during system testing, and formulate corrective action plans. Make necessary adjustments and troubleshoot PCBs. Tune RF amplifiers and converters with precision. Test and record RF converters. May be involved in the assembly of modules and completed units. Ensure quality through inspections of your own work and that of others in accordance with standards. Ensure that working documentation is the appropriate revision level. Maintain an electrostatic discharge (ESD) free working environment. Clean and maintain work areas. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in RF systems testing or a related field. Ability to understand and perform various RF test measurements, such as gain, power, return loss, and intermodulation distortion. Strong electrical and mechanical assembly skills. Strong soldering skills. Exceptional work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a team player. Good communication skills to report and document findings. Ability to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision, and effectively plan, organize, and execute own activities. Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Flexible and adaptable by nature; able to work well under pressure and within changing environments. Shift available : Day- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. Weekends or weekday overtime as needed.
