Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled 1099 appliance repair technician to join our dynamic field service team. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of household appliances at customer locations. Your hands-on mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities will ensure appliances operate efficiently, providing customers with reliable solutions and peace of mind. Responsibilities Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting techniques Perform repairs on various appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers Install new appliances following manufacturer specifications and safety standards Use hand tools, power tools, ladder equipment, and other maintenance tools to complete repairs efficiently Read and interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to identify root causes of problems Conduct refrigeration, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC-related repairs as needed Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions Operate company-provided box trucks or vehicles safely while delivering parts or equipment to job sites Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction Qualifications Proven experience in appliance repair, field service work, or as a service technician with a strong mechanical background Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, refrigeration principles, plumbing, HVAC systems, and equipment troubleshooting Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with appliance installation procedures and assembly processes Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) supplies and equipment repair techniques Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Valid experience operating company vehicles such as box trucks or similar delivery vehicles in a safe manner Electrical experience including wiring and electrical work standards is highly desirable Ability to follow detailed instructions from schematics or technical manuals accurately Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently in the field Join our team as a 1099 appliance repair technician if you're passionate about fixing appliances efficiently while delivering top-tier customer service.
