Virginia Appliance Repair is looking for experienced appliance repair technicians seeking consistent part-time weekend work. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who already works during the week, is semi-retired, or wants to earn additional income on Saturdays and Sundays. We provide in-home service for all major appliance brands and are an authorized servicer for several manufacturers. We value technicians who diagnose accurately, communicate professionally, and can work independently in the field. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, and other major household appliances Complete scheduled service calls on Saturdays and Sundays Clearly explain diagnoses, repair options, and pricing to customers Prepare estimates and collect payments Accurately document each job using a company-provided tablet Maintain assigned tools, parts, and equipment Communicate with office staff regarding job status and additional parts needed What We're Looking For At least 1-2 years of hands-on appliance repair experience preferred Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience servicing brands such as GE, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Maytag Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Professional and respectful customer-service skills Knowledge of electrical and mechanical appliance systems Sealed-system experience and CFC/EPA certification are strongly preferred Comfortable using tablets and smartphones for job tracking Valid driver's license and clean driving record High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds occasionally Ability to pass a background check and drug screening What We Provide Consistent Saturday and Sunday service calls Company van for scheduled work, depending on availability and location Uniforms, specialty tools, and a company tablet Home dispatch in most service areas Administrative and technical support Ongoing training and opportunities for additional hours Performance-based bonus opportunities Work Location In person — Falls Church, Virginia, and surrounding service areas.
