Role Overview:

As an HVAC Lead Install Technician, you will manage the replacement, upgrade, and installation of residential heating and cooling systems. You will guide a team of technicians to ensure service is delivered efficiently and to a high standard. This position requires providing technical leadership on complex projects, ensuring all work meets safety and industry regulations, and managing client relations to ensure total satisfaction. Furthermore, you will oversee tool and inventory management, maintain a tidy workspace, and assist in the professional growth of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute the precise installation, replacement, and upgrading of residential HVAC equipment. Manage piping tasks including cutting and threading copper or PVC, alongside high and low voltage electrical wiring. Foster team growth by mentoring Install Helpers both on-site and in-house to improve their technical proficiency. Ensure a positive client experience by providing clear communication and top-tier service. Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient job site by managing physical labor requirements, such as lifting items over 50 pounds. Keep all company vehicles, tools, and inventory components organized and well-maintained. Safely navigate challenging environments including heights, cramped attics, and extreme temperature fluctuations. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following all appliance standards and safety regulations. Complete other tasks as directed by management.

Professional Requirements:

Possess 2-5+ years of experience in a lead residential HVAC installation role. Maintain a valid driver's license along with a clean driving history. Hold a current EPA certification to ensure full regulatory compliance. Utilize advanced critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities to resolve intricate HVAC system challenges. Help maintain a high standard of excellence by demonstrating an enthusiastic and proactive work ethic. Focus on positive outcomes by prioritizing client needs and addressing concerns with exceptional service. Communicate effectively and professionally with all members of the organization. Adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

Physical Demands:

Regularly lift 50 pounds, with occasional requirements to lift up to 100 pounds. Perform tasks such as climbing ladders, accessing tight crawlspaces or attics, and operating hand tools. Operate a company vehicle as required. Work in diverse settings, ranging from indoor residential areas to outdoor environments and confined spaces. Maintain the ability to stand, walk, sit, and communicate clearly in person or via phone. Utilize manual dexterity to handle controls and reach with arms and hands. Frequently perform movements such as kneeling, stooping, crouching, and bending. Work in various weather conditions, including exposure to extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow.
