This role involves performing installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across diverse commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems with precision and adherence to safety standards. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults accurately. Troubleshoot equipment problems related to HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical components. Maintain and calibrate building automation systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance. Read schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate effective installation and repair processes. Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure longevity and reliable operation. Conduct system inspections to identify potential issues proactively and recommend appropriate solutions. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs and installations efficiently. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly during servicing or system replacement. Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and offering maintenance advice. Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and system conditions for future reference. Requirements Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory. Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with construction experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC design principles, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints related to HVAC/R systems. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Ability to diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters effectively. Knowledge of HVAC/R equipment repair including boilers, air conditioning units, appliances, and mechanical systems. Experience working in field service environments with property maintenance responsibilities. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a van or service vehicle safely. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse settings.
