In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in building systems. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Diagnose electrical issues through electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute installations or repairs accurately. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant piping and water supply connections. Troubleshoot complex equipment problems involving refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration systems, or building automation systems. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system status updates for each client site. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling and environmental standards. Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform mechanical repairs or system upgrades efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during every interaction. Assist in the installation of new HVAC system components while adhering to safety protocols. Support property maintenance teams with HVAC-related issues that impact building operations or tenant comfort. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in construction experience and field service operations preferred but not required. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various types of equipment including boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and building automation controls. Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, HVAC design principles, electrical systems diagnostics, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with refrigerants such as ammonia refrigeration and related environmental regulations (EPA certification required). Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with testing devices like ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Experience working on complex mechanical systems involving HVAC/R technology is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients at all levels. Valid driver's license (preferably driver) with a clean driving record for field service travel requirements.
