Lead HVAC / General Maintenance Technician - DIRECT HIRE Trades Exchange (TEX) Birmingham / Central or North Alabama

HIGH-PRIORITY DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Trades Exchange is recruiting an experienced Lead HVAC / General Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity supporting throughout Alabama and Georgia . This is a hybrid HVAC and general maintenance position for a technician who is strong in troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, repairs, preventive maintenance, and project oversight. The right candidate must be comfortable working independently, responding to emergency service needs, and traveling throughout the Alabama and Georgia market. What You'll Be Doing Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC, mechanical, and general facility maintenance issues Respond to emergency service calls Perform repairs, replacements, and corrective maintenance Complete technical preventive maintenance (PMs) Identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements Supervise and coordinate maintenance-related projects Provide quality control and quality management Ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and to client standards Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, contractors, and management Respond to after-hours service calls when required Travel throughout Alabama and Georgia to support assigned locations What We're Looking For Strong hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic experience Experience performing HVAC service, repair, and preventive maintenance General building/facility maintenance experience Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and facility-related problems independently Experience overseeing projects, subcontractors, or field work preferred Strong customer-service and communication skills Ability to prioritize emergency and routine service requests Comfortable participating in an after-hours/on-call rotation Must be able to travel regularly throughout the Alabama and Georgia market Must reside in Central or North Alabama Birmingham-area candidates are strongly preferred Dependable transportation and strong work reliability required Ideal Background Candidates with experience as a: Lead HVAC Technician Commercial HVAC Service Technician Facilities Maintenance Technician Building Engineer Mobile Maintenance Technician General Maintenance Technician HVAC/Facilities Technician will be strongly considered.
