In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan. Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems and handle equipment troubleshooting for complex mechanical issues. Use hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to perform repairs or modifications as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs in accordance with company standards. Requirements Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system installation and repair. Service technician experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, building automation systems, electrical systems, and plumbing. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues including refrigeration and ammonia refrigeration units. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC design is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools, electrical diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification preferred. EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client interactions. Mechanical or mechanic experience combined with construction background is highly desirable.
