Job Description
HVAC Service Technician - Level III 10+ Years of Verifiable Experience Required Maximum Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for a highly skilled, customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are a family-owned company dedicated to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service throughout San Diego County. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who excels in advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and helping homeowners make informed decisions regarding repairs and equipment replacement. Qualifications 10+ years of verifiable residential and light commercial HVAC service experience required Proven history of successfully selling HVAC equipment replacements and repair solutions Ability to properly assess homes and businesses and accurately size replacement systems using industry best practices Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems Extensive experience repairing high-efficiency equipment, inverter systems, and modern HVAC technologies Working knowledge of all major HVAC brands and manufacturers preferred EPA Certification required (NATE Certification is a plus) Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills Excellent attendance and dependability Clean California driver's license and driving record Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive team attitude Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on residential and light commercial HVAC systems Repair, replace, and maintain heating and air conditioning equipment to the highest quality standards Complete preventative maintenance that maximizes equipment performance and lifespan Present repair options, system upgrades, maintenance agreements, and complete replacement solutions to homeowners Properly assess customer needs and recommend energy-efficient comfort solutions Achieve and exceed monthly KPI goals, including sales, productivity, customer satisfaction, callback rate, and revenue objectives Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, recommendations, parts used, and completed work in the company CRM Maintain an organized inventory of truck stock, tools, and materials Order necessary parts for repairs while minimizing downtime Communicate technical information clearly and professionally with customers Build long-term customer relationships through honesty, integrity, and exceptional service Perform all work safely while following company policies and industry regulations Participate in ongoing manufacturer training and continuing education to stay current with emerging HVAC technology Mentor and assist junior technicians when needed Collaborate with dispatch, installation, and sales teams to provide the best customer experience
