SENIOR HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a range of HVAC systems used with our Modular Buildings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical knowledge while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction experience, electrical diagnostics skills, and a passion for delivering top-tier HVAC solutions. The position has some Prevailing Wage and Non-Prevailing Wage hours. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and related components to ensure reliable operation. Install new HVAC systems and equipment following manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical circuits and components. Read and interpret schematics and HVAC design plans accurately. Provide exceptional service by explaining technical issues and options clearly. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and future reference. Supervise others performing similar duties while self-performing duties noted here. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance. Construction experience is highly desirable to understand building frameworks and integration of HVAC systems within structures. Knowledge of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems along with mechanical knowledge of mechanical systems repair. Ability to read schematics, HVAC design plans, building automation systems diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams accurately. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting equipment issues with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, multimeters, and ohmmeters. Experience working with plumbing components related to HVAC systems is preferred. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; additional certifications in HVAC or electrical systems are a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently. Valid driver's license required. EPA 608 Certification required.
