In this energetic role, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a wide range of HVAC and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep buildings comfortable, safe, and efficient while providing exceptional service to clients. This position offers opportunities to help develop, grow, and possibly manage the service department in the future. Compensation Compensation is based on experience but ranges between $25 - $38 DOE plus 10% commission on sales and repairs. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems. Perform installations of HVAC systems and mechanical components in accordance with design specifications and safety standards. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure reliable operation and extend system lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical diagnostics for complex HVAC controls. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to repair or replace faulty components within mechanical systems. Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans for efficient system setup or repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs or maintenance procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout every interaction. Experience Prior experience as an HVAC service technician required Strong knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design documents accurately. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus. EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in electrical systems or HVAC/R are advantageous.
