Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system installations. In this pivotal role, you will lead installation projects, coordinate with team members, and ensure that all HVAC systems are installed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your expertise will help deliver comfortable, reliable climate control solutions to our valued customers while maintaining a focus on quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to take ownership of complex projects and mentor junior team members. Responsibilities Lead the installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems with precision and attention to detail. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system setup and integration. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify root causes of system failures. Perform HVAC system repairs, maintenance, and upgrades while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Collaborate with project managers, service technicians, and clients to coordinate installation schedules and address on-site challenges promptly. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, install, and test complex HVAC equipment efficiently. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety during system servicing or installation. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions clearly and addressing client concerns professionally. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair. Service technician experience demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC/R systems including electrical diagnostics, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, building automation systems, electrical systems, and HVAC design principles. Hands-on experience with HVAC system maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, boiler operation, air conditioning systems, and electrical diagnostics. Knowledge of mechanical knowledge related to mechanical systems repair along with the use of hand tools for installation tasks. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are preferred. Valid van driver's license preferred for transportation between job sites; ability to operate equipment such as ohmmeters or other diagnostic tools confidently is essential.
