Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HVAC Ducting Journeyman to install, assemble, and modify commercial and industrial HVAC duct systems. The ideal candidate will have strong sheet-metal and ductwork installation experience, be able to read blueprints, and work safely and efficiently on active construction sites. Responsibilities Install commercial and industrial HVAC ductwork according to blueprints and specifications Fabricate, assemble, and modify sheet-metal duct sections and fittings Install supply and return-air duct systems, dampers, diffusers, grilles, and vents Install duct hangers, supports, brackets, and seismic supports as required Connect ductwork to AHUs, RTUs, VAV boxes, and other HVAC equipment Seal and insulate ductwork as required Measure, lay out, cut, and fit ductwork in the field Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and sheet-metal fabrication equipment Inspect completed installations for proper fit, alignment, and workmanship Read and interpret HVAC blueprints, drawings, and specifications Coordinate work with electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, and other trades Follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Lead or assist apprentices and HVAC helpers when needed Qualifications Journeyman-level HVAC ductwork or sheet-metal experience preferred 3+ years of commercial or industrial duct installation experience Experience with sheet-metal duct fabrication and installation Ability to read blueprints and HVAC plans Knowledge of duct supports, fittings, dampers, insulation, and sealing methods Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms Ability to use common sheet-metal and construction tools OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred Must be able to pass site-specific requirements, including drug screening and background checks when applicable Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work overhead for extended periods Ability to work in commercial and industrial construction environments Ability to work safely at heights and in confined areas when required
