Position Summary As a Residential HVAC Service Specialist , you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing residential and light commercial comfort systems. You'll work independently while representing the company with professionalism, providing customers with clear communication and dependable solutions. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, values craftsmanship, and takes pride in fixing equipment correctly the first time. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose heating, cooling, and refrigeration system concerns. Complete service repairs on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal system inspections. Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment. Read wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and installation drawings. Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak detection procedures. Complete minor fabrication and piping modifications when needed. Verify proper system operation through start-up, testing, and final performance checks. Document service findings, recommendations, and completed work using ServiceTitan. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle. Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining company quality and safety standards. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC service or installation experience. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, airflow, and gas heating equipment. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation. EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred. Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong communication and customer service skills. Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
