Job Description
Senior HVAC Service Technician We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and commercial HVAC systems. The candidate must be able to work independently, troubleshoot HVAC issues efficiently, and provide professional customer service. Job Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems. Perform routine HVAC maintenance, inspections, and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues. Install new HVAC systems, including condensers, air handlers/fan coil units, furnaces, ductwork, refrigerant lines, thermostats, and related equipment. Replace existing AC and HVAC equipment. Perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning of newly installed equipment. Check refrigerant levels and identify refrigerant leaks. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and building representatives. Explain system issues, recommended repairs, and maintenance needs to customers. Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications & Requirements 5-8 years of HVAC service and installation experience. Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems. Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC problems. Experience installing complete new AC and HVAC systems. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems. Ability to read and understand HVAC wiring diagrams and equipment specifications. EPA 608 Certification preferred. Valid CA driver's license preferred. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds safely. Ability to use basic HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Background check and motor vehicle record check required as a condition of employment. Compensation Starting at $28.00 per hour , depending on experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications.
