In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment across various commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in HVAC systems, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. Duties Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, equipment, and controls in accordance with schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units to ensure peak efficiency and longevity Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters Diagnose issues with mechanical systems like boilers, pumps, fans, and refrigeration units; execute repairs promptly Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, building automation systems (BAS), and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting, leak detection, and component replacement Perform welding or other mechanical repairs as needed to maintain or upgrade equipment Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and disposal; maintain accurate service records Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to repair or replace faulty components efficiently Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction during field service visits Skills Extensive construction experience with HVAC system installation and building automation integration Proven service technician experience in diagnosing electrical systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and mechanical systems Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, HVAC design principles, and electrical diagnostics Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R equipment repair including air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and appliances Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems within HVAC setups using electrical testing tools Experience with property maintenance tasks related to mechanical systems; capable of performing equipment troubleshooting efficiently Valid driver's license suitable for operating driver vehicles; clean driving record preferred Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) for centralized control of HVAC environments Familiarity with plumbing codes and practices relevant to HVAC installations or repairs Mechanical system repair expertise with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and quality standards Join our team if you're passionate about delivering top-tier HVAC solutions!
