We are growing fast, and we are hiring one experienced installer to take the lead on change-outs. This is not a helper position. We are looking for someone who has run residential installs before and can be trusted on a job site without an owner standing over their shoulder. What You Will Be Doing Full residential system change-outs: condensers, furnaces, coils, air handlers, and package units Attic and closet installs. We run roughly 50/50, so you need to be comfortable working in an attic Ductwork modification, transitions, plenums, and sealing to pass HERS duct-leakage testing Line sets, brazing, evacuation, charging, and start-up Electrical hookups, disconnects, condensate lines, and safety switches Loading your truck and confirming your equipment order the day before each install Photos and job notes on every install, and leaving the job site cleaner than you found it Water heater and duct cleaning work as it comes up What We Are Looking For 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (5+ preferred) EPA 608 certification and a valid California driver's license with a clean record Able to read an equipment order and catch a problem before it hits the customer's driveway Familiar with permitted work. HERS testing and city inspections are routine for us Someone who shows up, communicates, and takes pride in a clean install Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not a requirement What We Offer $32 to $40 per hour depending on experience Real overtime. We pay it, we do not fight you on it Company vehicle and gas card for install work Paid time off and paid holidays Year-round work. We run maintenance and service through the shoulder seasons A small, family-owned shop where the owners are in the field with you, not hiding in an office Why This Job Exists Right now the owners are on the install truck, which means they cannot be out selling and running the business. We need someone we can hand a job to and stop worrying about. If that is you, there is a lead installer seat here with room to grow into running a second crew as we keep adding locations. Apply through Indeed with your work history. We move quickly. If you are a fit, you will hear from us within a couple of days. RC Air is an equal opportunity employer.
