Technician Certification EPA Certification Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality and climate control for our clients. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration systems according to schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation system layouts to accurately install or repair systems Conduct system inspections to identify issues related to mechanical, electrical, or refrigerant components Diagnose problems with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment and execute effective repairs or replacements Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure proper system operation and customer satisfaction Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports in compliance with safety standards Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary for installation and repair tasks Ensure all work adheres to local codes, safety regulations (including EPA certification requirements), and industry best practices Experience Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation or repair projects Service technician experience working on mechanical systems such as boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation fans, or refrigeration equipment Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, building automation systems, and electrical diagnostics Knowledge of HVAC design principles and mechanical systems repair techniques Experience troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters or electrical testers Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting across various HVAC/R components effectively Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing connections, refrigerant handling, and mechanical systems maintenance Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required or must be obtained upon hire Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about system issues and solutions Join us if you're passionate about delivering high-quality HVAC solutions!
