In this energetic role, you'll assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your mechanical skills, gain hands-on experience with complex equipment, and contribute to creating comfortable indoor environments for our clients. Responsibilities Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Support technicians in troubleshooting HVAC/R systems using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge. Help with the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. Handle basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations and repairs. Use hand tools such as ohmmeters, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other mechanical tools to aid in system setup and troubleshooting. Follow safety protocols including EPA certification standards for refrigerant handling and electrical safety procedures. Support the transportation of equipment via company van, ensuring timely delivery of materials to job sites. Experience Previous construction experience or hands-on work with mechanical systems is highly preferred. Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields is a strong plus. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems enhances your effectiveness in this role. Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration principles, boiler operation, and air conditioning systems is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills will help you succeed in supporting clients' needs. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications related to electrical systems or HVAC/R are beneficial.
