Responsibilities Install HVAC systems including heat pump systems, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and controls components according to schematics and HVAC design plans Conduct system troubleshooting and repair using hand tools, electrical diagnostics tools such as multi-meters, and equipment troubleshooting techniques Interpret technical schematics, mechanical drawings, and building automation system diagrams to ensure precise installation and maintenance Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan Diagnose electrical systems issues related to HVAC/R equipment and execute effective repairs Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and electrical codes Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and addressing client questions professionally Skills Construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC systems installation and repair Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, electrical systems, and controls systems Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC air-side systems.
