Technician Certification Equipment maintenance Performance analysis Full Job Description Residential HVAC Service Technician — Full Time W-2 Iris Mechanical Inc. is hiring a Residential HVAC Service Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs throughout San Jose, Santa Clara, and the surrounding Bay Area.
Compensation:
Starting base pay: $30/hour 30-day performance review with potential increase up to $33/hour 20% of eligible collected gross profit from service jobs personally completed by the technician, calculated under the Company's written bonus policy. $150 for an eligible replacement lead resulting in a completed and fully paid installation $25 for each eligible maintenance agreement sold, paid, and activated W-2, non-exempt employment with required overtime adjustments
Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours per week based on available service calls. Actual hours may vary, and minimum weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems Explain findings, repair options, and pricing clearly and honestly Follow the approved price book and obtain customer authorization Complete invoices, diagnostic notes, photos, parts records, and customer signatures Collect authorized customer payments Maintain assigned tools, inventory, and equipment Complete callback and warranty work when assigned
Requirements:
Residential HVAC service and diagnostic experience Authorization to work in the United States Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record Current EPA Section 608 certification Strong customer-service, documentation, and communication skills
Pay:
$30.00 - $33.00 per hour
