Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. A valid HVAC license is required to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems and ensure proper system integration. Troubleshoot complex equipment problems by analyzing mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and installation. Service technician experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and building automation system layouts accurately. Knowledge of HVAC design principles to assist in system upgrades or new installations. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC equipment. Expertise in HVAC system repair, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures effectively. Electrical diagnostics skills including use of ohmmeters and other testing tools for electrical troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC components such as compressors, fans, pumps, valves, and thermostats. Proficiency with hand tools necessary for installation and repair tasks. Experience with HVAC system installation from start to finish ensuring code compliance. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required for refrigerant-related work. Knowledge of building automation systems for efficient system management. Familiarity with electrical systems within commercial or residential buildings. Ability to perform HVAC system maintenance proactively to prevent failures or inefficiencies. Experience working with boilers and air conditioning units across various settings. Valid van driver's license for on-site travel between job locations when necessary. $21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
