Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to oversee and execute complex HVAC system installations, repairs, and maintenance. Duties Lead the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems, ensuring precise adherence to schematics and design specifications. Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC technicians during installation, repair, and maintenance projects to promote safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship. Diagnose electrical systems issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical diagnostics equipment; troubleshoot mechanical systems including pumps, fans, compressors, and refrigeration components. Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to plan installation sequences effectively. Perform routine HVAC system repairs and preventative maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan. Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations for refrigerants and environmental safety standards. Maintain detailed records of service activities, system diagnostics, repairs performed, and parts used for accurate documentation and reporting. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair. Service technician experience with troubleshooting HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Solid understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing connections, electrical systems diagnostics, building automation systems, and mechanical knowledge. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), refrigerant handling equipment, and other specialized tools for equipment troubleshooting. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC system maintenance is highly desirable. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike.
