In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and building automation systems. Your mechanical expertise and customer service skills will ensure each project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while developing your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment following schematics and HVAC design plans. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics for system repairs. Repair and replace HVAC components, including compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections. Read and interpret technical schematics, building automation system diagrams, and mechanical drawings to execute installations accurately. Conduct equipment troubleshooting to identify faults quickly and implement effective repair solutions. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions and maintenance procedures clearly to clients. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants during installation and repair activities. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble or disassemble HVAC equipment safely. Maintain detailed service records, shift reports, incident logs, and inventory documentation. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair or HVAC installation. Service technician experience working on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems preferred. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, plumbing connections, and building automation systems. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance procedures, equipment troubleshooting, and electrical diagnostics. Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, ventilation fans, and other HVAC components. Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely; familiarity with specialized diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver license preferred for travel between job sites. EPA certification required for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC or electrical work are advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
