GED Driver's License Full Job Description Experienced Commercial HVAC Installer Position Summary:
Vectra Mechanical is a locally owned and operated mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a skilled installer who takes pride in quality workmanship, values honesty and professionalism, and wants to work for a company focused on doing the job right. Our team provides commercial and light commercial HVAC installation services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Install HVAC equipment and accessories according to manufacturer specifications Install furnaces, air handlers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment Install copper refrigerant piping including soldering and brazing Pull vacuums on refrigerant systems and verify system integrity Install gas piping, flue piping, venting systems, and flue liners Perform high and low voltage wiring installations Fabricate and install ductwork and duct fittings as required Connect gas lines to heating equipment Perform equipment startups and system commissioning Install and program thermostats and controls Install indoor air quality products and accessories Deliver equipment to job sites and remove existing equipment as necessary Perform limited diagnostics and troubleshooting when required Train, coach, and mentor apprentices Complete required documentation accurately Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer experience Follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintain safe working conditions for the installation crew Participate in company sponsored training programs Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of verifiable HVAC installation experience Strong understanding of HVAC equipment operation and installation practices Knowledge of ductwork layout and installation requirements Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation schematics Ability to troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical, and airflow issues Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Required Certifications High school diploma or GED required NATE certification or other HVAC trade certifications preferred but not required Previous HVAC apprenticeship experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined spaces Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more Ability to climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 15 feet Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to work outside normal business hours when necessary Why Vectra Mechanical Locally owned and operated company Team focused environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Opportunity to mentor and develop apprentices Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction Professional and safety focused work environment
