This position includes both commercial and residential HVAC service work across a wide variety of equipment.
Our technicians regularly work on:
Boilers Rooftop Units (RTUs) Cooling Towers Chillers Furnaces Split System Air Conditioners Pool Dehumidifiers Steam Generators Makeup Air Units (MAUs) Heat Pumps and related HVAC systems Responsibilities Perform comprehensive HVAC inspections, including health and safety evaluations Communicate findings and repair options clearly to customers through written recommendations Diagnose and repair HVAC systems according to applicable codes and manufacturer specifications Troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical, airflow, and mechanical issues Complete required service documentation accurately and efficiently Invoice completed work and collect required service fees Order parts and ensure materials are available for scheduled appointments Submit purchase requests to dispatch or purchasing personnel Maintain assigned vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment Return warranty parts and maintain proper documentation Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs, concerns, and recommendations Identify maintenance opportunities and communicate the benefits of planned maintenance agreements Train, coach, and mentor apprentices and junior technicians Monitor operational metrics including average invoice value, callback ratios, and labor margins Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer experience Participate in company training programs and continuing education opportunities Follow all company safety policies and procedures Report safety concerns to management promptly Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of verifiable HVAC service experience Strong knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC systems Experience troubleshooting refrigerant, electrical, airflow, and control systems Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment documentation Strong diagnostic and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Outstanding customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and service software applications Ability to navigate using GPS and mobile technology Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Required Certifications High school diploma or GED required Physical Requirements Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined spaces Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more Ability to work from heights exceeding 15 feet when necessary Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and climb throughout the workday Good visual acuity and depth perception Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to work outside normal business hours when necessary Additional Benefits Industry leading compensation Straightforward commission program Relocation assistance available Ongoing training and professional development Opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial and residential equipment Locally owned and operated company with a team focused culture
