This is a hands-on technical role requiring advanced HVAC and mechanical expertise, along with the ability to operate independently and support overall system reliability. The selected candidate will execute a structured preventive maintenance program while actively performing troubleshooting, system diagnostics, optimization, and complex repairs on critical equipment. This position operates in a Government O&M setting where reliability, documentation accuracy, safety compliance, and responsiveness are essential. The Industrial HVAC Mechanic will perform daily HVAC maintenance and repair activities, ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are completed within required performance windows, maintain accurate CMMS documentation, and comply with all OSHA and federal safety standards. The role requires direct engagement with mechanical rooms, rooftops, central plants, and large institutional systems, with a strong emphasis on hands-on execution and system performance.
  • This position requires a T3, Secret level government clearance. Application and background investigation by FBI required.
  • Qualified candidates will possess:
  • Strong centrifugal chiller experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial or large commercial HVAC experience Expertise with chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, hydronic systems, VFDs, and DDC/BAS controls
  • Experience executing preventive maintenance programs within regulated or mission-critical environments EPA Universal Certification (required) Strong understanding of CMMS systems and documentation protocols Ability to work physically in the field and independently perform maintenance and repair tasks Experience in federal facilities, military installations, healthcare, or other mission-critical operations is highly preferred.
