Duties Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical system failures efficiently. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise system setups and repairs. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency. Mentor and supervise junior technicians by providing guidance on technical procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and system replacements aligned with building needs. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance. Service technician experience with proficiency in electrical diagnostics, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including boilers and building automation controls. Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling along with comprehensive knowledge of HVAC system maintenance standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Mechanical or technical degree or equivalent experience in property maintenance or related fields preferred. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to operate a company van or service vehicle safely.
