Job Summary Kuck Mechanical Contractors LLC is a full-service mechanical contractor specializing in commercial HVAC and plumbing construction. We provide mechanical construction, fabrication, installation, and service for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects throughout Colorado and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with both HVAC and plumbing experience to join our team. This position is responsible for managing mechanical construction projects from preconstruction and planning through completion and closeout. Candidates must have experience managing both commercial HVAC and plumbing scopes. This is not an HVAC-only or plumbing-only Project Manager position. Responsibilities As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for: Managing commercial mechanical construction projects involving both HVAC and plumbing scopes. Reviewing plans, specifications, submittals, contracts, schedules, and other construction documents to develop an effective project plan. Coordinating HVAC, plumbing, piping, equipment, controls, and related mechanical scopes. Planning and coordinating field labor, fabrication, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other resources necessary to complete assigned projects. Working closely with field supervisors and foremen to coordinate manpower, schedules, installation requirements, and project priorities. Developing and maintaining project schedules and monitoring progress against established milestones. Procuring equipment, materials, and subcontracted services while ensuring they meet project specifications and scheduling requirements. Managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and other project documentation. Tracking project costs, labor, materials, committed costs, and overall financial performance. Preparing project forecasts and conducting regular job cost reviews. Identifying potential cost overruns, scheduling issues, scope gaps, and other project risks and taking appropriate corrective action. Reviewing and managing change orders to ensure additional work is properly documented, priced, approved, and billed. Maintaining strong working relationships with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Attending project meetings and representing Kuck Mechanical professionally. Coordinating project startup, commissioning, punch-list completion, and closeout activities. Ensuring contractual requirements are met and all required closeout documentation is completed and submitted. Supporting and enforcing company safety policies and construction industry best practices. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of mechanical construction project management experience preferred. Commercial HVAC and plumbing experience required. Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, hydronic piping, mechanical equipment, and controls. Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, piping, fixtures, and related equipment. Working knowledge of mechanical construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and coordination. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, and other project documents. Experience with project budgeting, job costing, forecasting, change orders, and cost control. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with field personnel, general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of field construction operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other construction/project management software. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus; equivalent mechanical construction experience will also be considered.
