Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive top-tier service while leading and mentoring junior technicians to uphold our high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Lead the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to schematics and design specifications. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, mechanical components, plumbing connections, and building automation systems to identify issues accurately. Perform repairs on HVAC/R equipment, utilizing hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to restore optimal system performance. Interpret technical schematics, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to execute installations efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to prevent failures and extend equipment lifespan. Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and local building codes. Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Skills Extensive construction experience with HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair. Proven service technician experience with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems. Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately. Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration, boilers, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, building automation systems, and property maintenance. Skilled in using hand tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting. Experience with electrical systems diagnostics and repairs related to HVAC equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license for site visits and installations. Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional licenses in HVAC or mechanical trades are preferred.
