Job Description

M&O Corporation is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics for commercial and industrial HVAC projects throughout Connecticut. We are looking for experienced mechanics who know the trade and can step onto a job and contribute immediately. The ideal candidate should be comfortable reading mechanical drawings, laying out work, installing equipment, fabricating and installing ductwork and making field modifications as required. ¿Habla español? Typical work includes HVAC equipment installation (air handlers, fans, etc) installation of rectangular and spiral ductwork, fittings, dampers, louvers, diffusers and grilles, equipment connections, hangers and supports, and other commercial HVAC sheet metal systems.
Candidates should have experience with:
Reading mechanical plans and understanding duct layouts Laying out, measuring and installing commercial ductwork Rectangular, spiral and flexible duct systems Installing hangers, supports, dampers, diffusers, grilles and louvers Making field measurements and modifications Connecting ductwork to rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust fans and other HVAC equipment Working independently as well as with a crew Maintaining quality workmanship and a productive pace Connecticut SM1 or SM2 licensing is a plus, but we also welcome experienced mechanics who have developed their skills in the field or worked in other states. If you know commercial sheet metal, take pride in your work and can get the job done, we want to talk to you.
Pay:
$35.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
