HVAC Technician Tysons, VA We are working with a reputable commercial real estate company who maintains a portfolio of commercial class A and trophy office spaces and medical facilities. The HVAC Technician would be responsible for the service and repair of the HVAC systems onsite facilities within DC and Northern VA.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements on a wide variety of commercial HVAC and building mechanical systems while maintaining a high level of customer service. Service and maintain equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, VAVs, AHUs, RTUs, VRV/VRF systems, water-source heat pumps, self-contained and split systems, pumps, plate heat exchangers, CRAC units, humidifiers, gas furnaces, and related equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance and PM inspections to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and HVAC-related issues and determine the appropriate repair or replacement. Respond to service calls and professionally complete assigned work orders, service jobs, and daily tasks according to company standards. Effectively plan and manage time while coordinating priorities and schedules with the assigned manager. Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and management regarding job status, repairs, recommendations, and contract progress using company-provided technology and software. Work collaboratively as part of a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive and professional work environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures and hold yourself and fellow team members accountable for maintaining a safe workplace. Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional overtime, evenings, weekends, and emergency service calls. Assist with obtaining proposals and coordinating work performed by outside contractors and vendors. Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and equipment records and communicate updates to management. Maintain appropriate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies in the company vehicle. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience. HVAC Journeyman or Master License preferred; HVAC Master License strongly preferred. Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing complex commercial HVAC systems. Experience with chillers, boilers, circulating pumps, AHUs, RTUs, FCUs, packaged units, VAV systems, humidifiers, cooling towers, and associated mechanical equipment. Experience with a variety of HVAC control systems, including DDC, pneumatic, and automated controls. EPA Universal 608 Certification required. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and management. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to routinely walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to safely climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, catwalks, and aerial lifts. Ability to work outdoors and in varying or harsh weather conditions when required. Ability to safely handle heavy tools, equipment, and materials as part of daily job responsibilities.
