About the
Role:
The HVAC Warranty Technician plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems covered under warranty. This position requires thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize downtime and service costs. The technician will work closely with customers, manufacturers, and service teams to verify warranty claims and ensure compliance with warranty terms. By providing timely and effective repairs, the technician helps uphold the company s reputation for quality service and reliability. Ultimately, this role contributes to extending the lifespan of HVAC equipment and maintaining optimal system performance for clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid HVAC technician certification or license as required by state regulations. Proven experience working as an HVAC technician, preferably with warranty service exposure. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and diagnostic tools
Preferred Qualifications:
EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants. Experience with warranty claim processing and manufacturer communication. Customer service experience in a technical support role. Basic computer skills for documentation and warranty claim submissions. Additional certifications such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence) are advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and diagnose HVAC systems covered under warranty to identify defects or malfunctions. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer warranty guidelines and company standards. Document all service activities, including parts used, labor hours, and warranty claim details accurately. Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, repair processes, and warranty coverage. Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain necessary parts and approvals for warranty repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities. Provide feedback to the service management team regarding recurring issues or potential product improvements.
