Job Description

Job Summary You'll be in the field every day doing real duct work which means measuring, cutting, hanging, and sealing in residential and commercial systems. This is a hands-on role that requires at least 1-3 years of duct installation or HVAC field experience and we are not set up to train from zero. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal and flex ductwork in residential and commercial systems following blueprints and HVAC design plans Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete installations accurately Read and interpret HVAC system layouts to ensure precise, code-compliant installs Work safely in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and other confined or elevated spaces Load, unload, and organize duct materials and tools on site Inspect installed duct systems for leaks, damage, or inefficiencies and make necessary adjustments Coordinate with the lead installer, project managers, and other trades on site as needed Mentor and guide apprentices or helpers when assigned Communicate clearly with the lead installer and HVAC partners about job progress and status Skills Strong construction background with experience in HVAC installation and service technician roles Ability to maintain a strong production pace while delivering clean, quality installs Proficient in reading and understanding plans/layouts Ability to operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and standard hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fit ductwork accurately in the field.
