Maintenance Trade 05 Position Title HVAC Preventative Maint Mechanic Custom Job Purpose This position exists to perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment for the District. Essential Functions of this Job Performs preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment. Performs annual coil cleanings using proper methods and chemicals. Cleans and vacuums drain lines and drain pans. Checks compressor and motor amperage for operation and efficiency. Replaces drive belts. Lubricates bearing assemblies. Assists with installation, adjustment, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC equipment. Assist with diagnosis of HVAC problems and repair in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Tests completed system. Uses and maintains tools and equipment. Exhibits interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member. Communicates effectively with staff and vendors. Responds to inquiries or concerns in a timely manner. Keeps supervisor informed of potential problems or unusual events. Performs any duties within the scope of capabilities assigned by the supervisor. Performs related work as required. Keeps daily records and logs of work performed.
