Duties Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics. start ups and wiring for low voltage. for AC splits systems Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics issues using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults in electrical systems and components. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose system problems. Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary, including pipe fittings and drainage connections. Repair appliances related to HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems with attention to mechanical knowledge and precision. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed for accountability and future reference. Drive company vehicle safely while transporting tools, parts, or equipment to various job sites; ensure compliance with all safety protocols. Skills Proven construction experience with a solid understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience working on diverse HVAC/R equipment with a focus on troubleshooting and repair. Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, building automation systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration principles. Ability to diagnose issues accurately using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot equipment effectively. Familiarity with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems as well as appliance repair skills. Mechanical knowledge encompassing mechanical systems repair, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and other HVAC components. Proficiency with hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, pipe cutters, and specialized HVAC tools for efficient work execution. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; knowledge of HVAC system maintenance best practices. Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) for system control optimization.
