In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe, and healthy environments for our clients across various building types. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Whether working on new installations or performing routine maintenance, you will play a vital role in delivering top-quality HVAC solutions. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity. Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems, including condensate drains and water lines. Diagnose equipment failures and perform troubleshooting to identify root causes quickly and effectively. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance procedures. Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations such as EPA certification requirements for refrigerants handling. Assist with HVAC system design or modifications based on client needs or building specifications. Support the installation of new HVAC equipment ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and offering solutions that meet client expectations. Skills Proven experience in construction or service technician roles specializing in HVAC systems repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams accurately. Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical systems efficiently. Experience with plumbing related to HVAC equipment such as condensate drainage or water supply lines. Familiarity with HVAC system installation procedures including ductwork, piping, electrical wiring, and controls. Knowledge of refrigeration principles and appliance repair techniques for cooling systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in HVAC work. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; knowledge of environmental regulations related to refrigerant recovery. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating company vehicles safely on job sites.
