In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure our clients experience optimal comfort and system efficiency while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment that values proactive problem-solving and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including electrical systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and building automation systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment using hand tools, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and specialized HVAC/R equipment. Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, electrical connections, and controls, ensuring compliance with design specifications and schematics. Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately execute system installations or repairs. Diagnose mechanical issues in HVAC systems and mechanical components; repair or replace faulty parts to restore optimal operation. Manage plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper functioning of appliances such as water heaters or other related equipment. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout service visits. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system status updates for each client interaction. Adhere to safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and electrical safety standards during all service activities. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar construction or mechanical systems repair role. Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and building automation systems. Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to facilitate accurate troubleshooting and installation. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; capable of diagnosing electrical system faults efficiently. Familiarity with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems; ability to repair or install related piping or appliances as needed. Mechanical knowledge of various equipment including pumps, fans, compressors, valves, thermostats, and other mechanical components. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools or equipment. EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC or building automation are a plus.
