Duties and responsibilities:

Install, assemble, and mount HVAC systems and components, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, mini-splits, and rooftop units. Perform startup, testing, and commissioning to confirm systems operate correctly. Identify and correct installation deficiencies before turnover. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment schedules. Coordinate installations with other trades (electrical, plumbing, framing) to avoid conflicts. Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized HVAC equipment. Verify materials and equipment are on site before beginning work, and report shortages or damages. Maintain, clean, and secure tools and equipment. Keep the job site organized and represent the company professionally. Report maintenance needs or equipment problems promptly. Report progress, delays, or issues to the foreman or supervisor. Maintain professional communication with team members, other trades, and site supervision. Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA and company safety practices at all times, including proper handling of refrigerants. Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area. Ensure all installations comply with applicable mechanical, building, and energy codes.
