Job Description

About Us We're a local, family-owned and operated shop since 1990 with more work than we have hands for. We aren't looking for "warm bodies"—we want people who take pride in their trade. We focus on solid installs and honest work. Whether you've been turning wrenches for 20 years or you're just looking to get your foot in the door, if you're reliable and do clean work, we want to talk to you. We need an installer who can walk onto a job site, look at the layout, and execute a change-out or retrofit from start to finish with the skills to knock out light service calls and diagnostics when needed.
The Job:
Clean brazing, perfect PVC runs, organized wiring, and confident troubleshooting.
Non-Negotiable Requirements Experience:
2+ years of residential installation experience, plus basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Reliability:
You can work in various environments (attics, crawlspaces, heights) and show up when scheduled.
Aptitude:
You have a mechanical mindset and a "get it done right" attitude.
Valid Driver's License:
You must have a clean enough driving record to be covered by our insurance.
What You'll Be Doing Install & Retrofit:
Residential and light commercial systems (A/C units, furnaces, and refrigeration) according to design plans.
Light Service & Diagnostics:
Running occasional service calls, identifying system faults, handling basic repairs, and performing seasonal maintenance checkups.
Quality Control:
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensuring every install complies with local codes and safety standards.
Customer Service:
Explaining system operations to homeowners and maintaining a professional, clean job site.
The Fundamentals:
Reading schematics, brazing/welding components, and handling basic plumbing/electrical connections related to HVAC.
What We're Looking For Mechanical Aptitude:
You understand how systems work and how to fix them when they don't.
Reliability:
You can work independently or as part of a team in tough environments (attics, crawlspaces, and heights).
Professionalism:
A clean driving record and a respectful attitude toward customers and coworkers. Why Work With Us? No "Off-Season": We stay busy year-round. No seasonal layoffs.
Decent Gear:
We keep our vehicles maintained. You won't be stranded in a beat-up van.
Direct Access:
You work for the owners, not a middle manager. If you need something to do your job better, you just ask.
Respect:
We know the attic is 120°F and the crawlspace is tight. We've been there. We treat our crew like humans, not machines. How to Apply Keep it simple. Call 850-863-9416 or email climatemakersnwfl@gmail.com .
