Overview We are seeking a motivated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Assist senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems. Support troubleshooting efforts by helping diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics. Prepare work sites by setting up hand tools and mechanical systems for installation or repair projects. Help with system inspections to ensure proper operation of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and handling equipment carefully. Assist in reading schematics and HVAC design plans to support system installation or repairs. Support customer service efforts by ensuring timely completion of tasks and communicating effectively with team members. Requirements Construction experience or familiarity with mechanical systems is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Prior service technician experience or exposure to HVAC system repair is a plus. Basic knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration systems is advantageous. Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely; mechanical knowledge is highly valued. Experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, or repair is desirable. Valid driver's license (preferably driver) with a clean driving record. Familiarity with building automation systems and electrical systems will set candidates apart. Strong customer service skills to support positive interactions with clients when needed. Certification such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification related to refrigerants is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level helpers.
