Job Summary We are looking to add a qualified professional to our BIM team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical BIM modeling, HVAC systems, and construction coordination, with the ability to create accurate, coordinated models, produce installation documents, and collaborate effectively with project teams.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience as a Mechanical BIM Modeler, HVAC Designer, or similar role. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including ductwork, refrigerant piping, mechanical equipment, and installation requirements. Ability to create accurate and coordinated 3D BIM models from construction documents, engineering drawings, and submittals. Experience modeling ductwork, refrigerant piping, mechanical equipment, accessories, and supports. Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and construction documents. Experience performing clash detection and resolving coordination issues using Navisworks. Knowledge of BIM standards, model organization, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements. Proficient in creating and modifying Revit Families and Revit Fabrication Parts. Experience producing detailed installation drawings and coordinated shop drawings based on approved BIM coordination. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) and project collaboration workflows. Ability to incorporate RFIs, engineer comments, and design revisions into BIM models. Strong understanding of HVAC installation practices, including duct clearances, insulation requirements, equipment access, and field installation requirements. Ability to manage multiple weekly online coordination meetings and communicate effectively with BIM Coordinators, engineers, contractors, and project teams. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to meet project deadlines. Experience with commercial, healthcare, and multifamily construction projects preferred.
