Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for our clients by leveraging your mechanical knowledge, electrical diagnostics, and service technician experience. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Troubleshoot mechanical systems using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently. Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to restore optimal operation. Conduct routine system maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide professional recommendations for system upgrades or replacements. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and electrical codes during all service activities. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields is highly preferred. Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical systems, plumbing layouts, and building automation controls. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, refrigeration cycles, boiler operation, and appliance repair. Skilled in using hand tools, diagnostic meters (including ohmmeters), and equipment troubleshooting devices. Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC/R systems maintenance and mechanical systems repair techniques. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle if required. Certifications such as EPA certification for refrigerants are mandatory; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
