In this energetic role, you'll perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of complex equipment, contributing directly to property safety and occupant satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Conduct service calls for HVAC/R equipment failures across multiple properties, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC systems in accordance with design specifications and safety standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference. Assist with plumbing repairs and appliance troubleshooting as needed to support property maintenance operations. Use welding tools and techniques for equipment repair or modification when required; operate forklifts or drivers to transport parts or equipment safely around job sites. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC, refrigeration (including ammonia systems), or mechanical maintenance within construction or property management environments. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems. Hands-on experience with plumbing repairs, welding techniques, and equipment repair. Mechanical knowledge complemented by field service expertise in troubleshooting complex HVAC/R systems. Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing system issues. Demonstrated ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately to perform precise repairs or installations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
