Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Diagnose electrical issues through electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity of equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute system installations or repairs accurately. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and drainage connections. Troubleshoot equipment failures by identifying mechanical or electrical faults quickly and effectively. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed. Interact with customers professionally to explain repairs, provide maintenance advice, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Operate hand tools and specialized equipment safely during installation or repair tasks. Support building automation systems (BAS) for efficient climate control management across facilities. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or service technician roles specializing in HVAC systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems. Knowledge of refrigeration principles and appliance repair techniques. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; understanding electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment is essential. Experience working with plumbing components related to HVAC setups is preferred. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R are advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company van safely is required. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments requiring the use of hand tools and mechanical systems repair skills.
